The MARBiobanc of the Hospital del Mar Research Institute (HMRIB) has successfully passed the audit conducted by the certification body AENOR to renew its accreditations. The process was carried out on October 31, 2025. The accreditation is valid until 2026. 

The audit certified that MARBiobanc continues to comply with the requirements of the UNE-EN-ISO 9001:2015 standard for quality management systems. The results reflected in the report indicate that this system is well on track towards achieving an optimal level of effectiveness. 

This certification represents recognition of the work carried out by MARBiobanc staff to adapt its organizational structure to regulatory requirements. MARBiobanc was one of the first biobanks within the National Biobank Platform of the Carlos III Health Institute to obtain ISO 9001:2015 certification in 2017.
